OBITUARY MCCONNELL: William Keith (Keith) passed away suddenly at Lashburn, Saskatchewan on December 11, 2007 at the age of 71. Keith is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Annette McConnell of Lashburn, Saskatchewan; formerly of Wilkie, Saskatchewan: five children: Glenda of Lloydminster, Kathy and her husband Rick of Lashburn, Boyd and his fiancee Patricia of Lashburn, Donna and her husband Gary of Meota, Les and his wife Shirley of Wilkie, thirteen grandchildren: Darren, Tanya (Song) and Tyler Cey, Kendra and Destiny Young, Carli, Brooke and Braymon Lonoway, Dylan and Jolie McConnell; three great grandchildren Kael and Marlie Cey and Caleb Song. He is also survived by one sister, Margaret Afseth and her husband Bob, as well as numerous other relatives. Keith was predeceased by his parents and three sisters. The funeral service for Keith was conducted from the St. James Roman Catholic Church, Wilkie, Saskatchewan on Monday, December 17, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Linda Emberely officiating. A eulogy was given by Keith’s brother-in-law Dennis Mettlewsky of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Scripture readings were given by Kendra Young and Jolie McConnell, Keith’s granddaughters. “Amazing Grace” was played by bagpiper Margaret Swanstrom as the service ended. Honorary pallbearers were all those who shared in Keith’s life. Interment followed in the Wilkie Cemetery. McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster administered the funeral arrangements. CARD OF THANKS We would like to thank The Maidstone Ambulance and the First Responders who attended, for their quick response time and their professionalism. Thank you to Pastor Linda Emberley for her very touching and comforting service. Thank you also to Dennis Mettlewsky for the eulogy and also to granddaughters Kendra Young and Jolie McConnell for the scripture readings, I’m sure that was a tough job and they did it so well. Also a special thank you to the United Church Women for the lovely lunch they served. Thank you to everyone who sent flowers, cards, food and visits to our homes. Thanks to Dale and the McCaw’s staff for your thoughtfulness and compassion during this difficult time, your comfort is greatly appreciated.
