I had to post and say I remember the Rubletz family as a good respectable family with great work ethics. They were kind people as I remember and they didn't hurt others or gossip needlessly or make people feel like outcasts. The boys were nice at school and didn't pick on people or gang up against someone and make their life miserable. Brian had a nice smile. Scottie was good at sports. Barry could high jump like no one else and Ritchie could draw well as I recall. Mrs. Vera kept a very clean house, was a very good cook and Mr. Ted was a hard worker and I heard all the boys grew up to be good solid dependable men like him. Mrs. Vera made fudge for the school and hers was always the best. Mr. Ted was quiet but a decent man and a good family man. I respect the Rubletz family and have good memories of them all. I doubt they really liked me very much back then but just going to their house and being invited in sometimes was nice because my home life was not very good and getting to see a nice family, where the Mother was caring and made nice meals and liked her children was a change. Their house was warm and smelled good because Mrs Vera was baking lots and she was a good mother. My sincere sympathy on the loss of a loved husband, father and grandfather. He rests with Jesus now and you will see him again.
