I had the pleasure of working for Vaughn in the '80s. He & Deanna always made me feel welcome when I stopped by. And I really enjoyed curling with Vaughn, both in league & tournament play. Deanna & family, I was so sorry to hear the sad news. I immediately liked Vaughn when he came to Maidstone for the last years of high school - there was nothing not to like. He was funny, kind, smart and an all round "good guy". He had it all. Over the years, when people ask me about Grade 12 - I say "Vaughn Sharp is the only reason I passed Geo-Trig". I mean who could make sense out of all those numbers and squiggly lines - Vaughn could, so when I was struggling to figure it out I would tap Vaughn on the back as he sat in front of me and he would patiently explain how to arrive at the answer. It was just the kind of thing Vaughn did - he made a difference. May he rest in peace.
