BIOGRAPHY WINDO ~ Francis "Frank" Alfred Windo passed away in Edam, Saskatchewan on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at the age of 93 years. Frank will be sadly missed by his loving wife Mary of 69 years, children: Frances (Norm) Pearse, Jean (Joe) Cole, Dorothy (Dave) Barr, and Jim (Elaine) Windo; fifteen grandchildren, thirty-eight great grandchildren, one great-great grandson; one brother-in-law and two sisters-in-law. Frank was predeceased by daughter Helen Cole and great grandson Carston Cole. The funeral service was conducted from the Edam Community Auditorium, Edam, Saskatchewan on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Canon Donald Skinner and Reverend Kun Kim officiating. The Edam Community Choir was in attendance. The hymns sung were "Rock of Ages" and "Beyond The Sunset" accompanied on the organ by Catherine Skinner. The honorary pallbearers were All Who Shared In His Life. The active pallbearers were All His Grandchildren: Twila Diederich, Don Cole, Tammy Prongua, Brad Cole, Kathy Kesslering, Jim Windo, Sarah Cole, Darcy Bonsan, Lisa Blaquiere, Pam Vermette, Laura Weber, Heather Gerlinsky, Trina Deobald, Brenda Renz and Apryl Grant. The interment was held in the Edam Cemetery. McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster, Alberta administered the funeral arrangements. The family of Francis Windo would like to thank the Doctors, nurses and all hospital staff for the great care Frank received during his stay at Lady Minto Health Care Center. Also a thank you to Reverend Canon Donald Skinner and Reverend Kun Kim for officiating and to the organist Catherine Skinner. Thanks to the choir, Lisa Blaquiere for the eulogy, pallbearers, the ladies for the lunch and all cards, flowers, donations, food, phone calls and visits. It was greatly appreciated. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Frank may be made to the Lady Minto Resident Fund.
