ARMSTRONG ~ Marion Eileen Armstrong (nee McCrimmon) passed away at the St. Walburg Health Complex on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at the age of 94 years. Eileen leaves to mourn her passing one sister Bernice Stubbington of Meadow Lake, SK, and one brother Murray & Bev McCrimmon of North Battleford, SK, nine children; Barbara Armstrong, Gary Armstrong, Colleen Smith, Stuart Armstrong, John & Judy Armstrong, Glen & Bonnie Armstrong, Bruce & Bonnie Armstrong, Clayton & Louise Armstrong, Roger & Lori Armstrong, Twenty Four Grandchildren, many more Great and Great Great Grandchildren. Eileen was predeceased by her husband of 70 years, Roy Charles Armstrong in March of 2012, and one son Daniel Roy Armstrong in 1983. The Funeral Service for Eileen was conducted from the McCaw Funeral Chapel, Lloydminster, Alberta on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Mike Ginther officiating. The Eulogy was read by Glen Armstrong. The hymn sung was "The Old Rugged Cross" accompanied by organist Irene Knowlson. The solo "Amazing Grace" was sung by Gillian Rowan. Violinist Brett Rowan, and Bag Piper Eric McCrimmon also played at the service. The Pallbearers were Nitisha Robbestad, Derek Armstrong, Brent Armstrong, Emma Armstrong, Roy Rowan, and Angela C. Kimmie. The Interment was held in the Lloydminster City Cemetery followed by a lunch held in the Legacy Centre, Lloydminster, Alberta. A Memorial Service was also held in Rapid View, Saskatchewan on Thursday, October 11, 2012 at the Compass Church. Donations in memory of Eileen may be made to the Royal University Children's Hospital in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster, Alberta administered the funeral arrangements.
