Obituary of Jean Weeks

WEEKS ~ Jessie Jean Marjorie Weeks passed away at the Lloydminster Hospital, Lloydminster, Saskatchewan on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at the age of 98 years. Jean will be sadly missed by her children; Fred and Evelyn Weeks, Carol and Henry Wilson, Don Weeks, and Lorne Weeks; 10 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; brother Max and Ruth Tuck, sister Mildred Gillyean, and numerous other relatives. Jean was predeceased by her husband Allan in 1995. The funeral service for Jean was conducted from the Grace United Church, Lloydminster, Alberta on Monday, October 29, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend Paul DuVal officiating. The Eulogy was read by Vic & Ann Juba, and Tributes were read by her grandchildren. The Grace United Church Choir sung "Amazing Grace" and "Be Still My Heart." The hymns sung were "Praise My Soul", "Psalm 23" and "All The Saints" accompanied by organist Irene Knowlson. The Honorary Pallbearers were all those who shared in Mom's life. The Active Pallbearers were Blaine Wilson, Sharlene Wilson, Jan Wilson, Charles Wilson, Ardith Richter, David Weeks, Marcel Riou, Suzanne Riou, Stephanie Riou, and Anthony Riou. The Interment was held in the Lloydminster City Cemetery, Lloydminster, Saskatchewan. The lunch was held in the Legacy Centre, Lloydminster, Alberta following the interment. Donations in memory of Jean may be made to O.E.S. Blanche Squire Music Scholarship Fund, Grace United Church Memorial Fund, or a charity of the donor's choice. McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster, Alberta administered the funeral arrangements.
