Obituary of Jordan Herle

BIOGRAPHY HERLE ~ Jordan Herle passed away peacefully in the Dr. Cooke Extended Care Centre, Lloydminster, Alberta on Thursday, May 19, 2011 at the age of 95 years. Jordan will be sadly missed by his wife of 67 years, Monica; twelve children: Margaret Johnson, Ken Herle, Jim and Christine Herle, Dennis and Sandra Herle, Gordon and Jo-Ann Herle, Wilfred and Wendy Herle, Diane and Marcel Delaire, Marlene Howard, Carol and Dennis Gabrieau, Robert and Laurie Herle, Linda and Kirk Steeg, Tom and Charleen Herle, 35 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, as well as numerous other relatives. The prayer service for Jordan was conducted from the McCaw Funeral Chapel, downtown Lloydminster on Tuesday, May 24 at 7:00 PM. with Father Louis Fowoyo officiating. The mass of Christian burial was conducted from St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church, Lloydminster, Alberta on Wednesday, May 25 at 10:00 A.M. with Father Jan Sobkowicz, Father Louis Fowoyo and Father John Hess officiating. A eulogy was given by Gordon Herle and Marlene Howard. Hymns sung were "On Eagles Wings", "How Great Thou Art" and "Be Not Afraid" accompanied on the organ by Donna Weston. The solo "The Lord Is My Shepherd" was sung by Marlene Risling. Active pallbearers were Ken Herle, Jim Herle, Dennis Herle, Gordon Herle, Wilfred Herle, Robert Herle and Tom Herle. Interment was held at the Lloydminster City Cemetery. McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster, Alberta administered the funeral arrangements. CARD OF THANKS The families of the late Jordan Herle would like to thank Doctors Kerlis, Snyman and Chapelski for their care and concern and to the thoughtful caring staff at the Dr. Cooke. We thank Father's Jan, Louis and Hess of St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church for a most wonderful memorable service; Marlene Risling and Donna Weston for a job well done; Gordon & Marlene for the eulogy; Jordan's sons for being pallbearers and the ladies at the Legacy Center for lunch.
