a number of years ago I was on my quad moose hunting way back near the Horse Head Creek
I had passed an older white chev truck a few miles back when I met this older hunter by himself on the cuyline
We talked about the things hunters talk about. Then he began to tell me about his son in the Navy. He was so proud.he then mentioned that he had had some heart issues.it was getting late . I offered to ferry him back to his truck on my quad. He had no gun case so he refused. I explained to him that his truck was at the last place a truck could go and we would not meet anyone.he got on and I drove him to his truck
As we parted we exchanged our names. I could not remember his last name, but when I see this obituary I recognize him.I remember thinking " I hope I am still moose hunting at his age"
