Please share a memory of Eva to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
BIOGRAPHY Eva Linnea Ingeborg Morris was the fourth child of Olaf & Christina Larson, born in Omaha, Nebraska, U.S.A. on April 28, 1917. She lived in Sweden from August 1917 to May 1918 before immigrating to Canada. Eva passed away at the Riverside Health Complex in Turtleford on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at the age of 95 years. Eva grew up in the Emmaville District along with her four sisters, one brother and her parents. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, crocheting, knitting, cooking, baking, and playing the organ. She played for the Emmaville church services before she was married. Eva won many prizes for her entries in the Turtleford Fair. She also enjoyed playing Scrabble and Rummikib. Family and Friends always remarked about her keen mind and very good memory up until her final day. Eva loved a good crossword and word find. She always had a smile when her family, especially the grandchildren and great grandchildren came to see her at the farm, her home in Turtleford, the lodge and later, the Turtle River Nursing Home. She had a genuine interest in all persons she met. Eva was predeceased by her parents, Olaf and Christina Larson; a son, Stanley in infancy in 1946; her husband, Dennis in 1989; son-in-law, Leslie Maess in 2007; along with her sisters, brother and brothers-in-law. Eva will be sadly missed by her son Edwin, Daughter-in-law Sharon and their two sons: Ryan (Tracy) and Kirk; her daughter Catherine and her four daughters: Vickie (Terry) Redlich, Sherri (Blair) Weitzel, Lori (Ryan) Rheaumé and Tammy (Dale) Boyd; thirteen great grandchildren: Rebecca, Rachel, Lee and Steven Redlich, Tyler, Brooke and Brody Weitzel, Maddison, Kennedy and Chase Rheaumé and Joshua, Kayden and Dawson Boyd; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, one sister-in-law Irene Morris in Kelowna, BC and many relatives including those in Sweden. The grandchildren remember spending many sleep overs at Grandpa and Grandma Morris' house and when it was time to leave they always got lemon drops, pillow candy or a peppermint. The great grandchildren also remember playing shuffleboard at the lodge with Grandma watching and smiling. Eva loved flowers, especially her violets and geraniums. Other fond memories include going for Sunday drives, visiting after church and playing games. Eva will be missed by all who knew her.
