WHITMORE ~ Lilian Dell Ray-Whitmore passed away at the St. Walburg Health Complex - Lakeland Lodge in St. Walburg, Saskatchewan on Friday, January 25, 2013 at the age of 89 years. Lilian leaves to mourn: her son, Everette and Heather Ray; daughter, Janice Ray; six grandchildren, Cindy and Derek Frerichs, Gail and Jeff Fenske, Larry and Janice Ray, Ashley and Edwin Hardes, Sherry Carpenter and Bryon and Tina Barker; eleven great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; two brothers, Lloyd Preece and George Preece; and two sisters, Jean and Mervin Ash and Marion and Raymond Lemieux. Lilian was predeceased by her parents, George and Vera, her husbands, Raymond and Donald; five brothers, Seville, Murray, Norman, Elmo, and Earl; and one sister, Joyce. The Funeral Service for Lilian was conducted from Our Lady of Sorrows Roman Catholic Church, Paradise Hill, Saskatchewan on Thursday, January 31, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. with Father Richard Doll O.M.I. officiating. The Eulogy was given by Bryon Barker. The songs "Precious Lord Take My Hand" and "Abide With Me" were sung bu Hazel Maier and Jeff Fenske. The hymns sung were "Will The Circle Be Unbroken" and "In The Garden," which were accompanied by musicians Joe Maier, Raymond Maier and Jim Clayton. The Active Pallbearers were Bryon Barker, Mitchel Carpenter, Edwin Hardes, Jeff Fenske, Allan Ash and Rodney Preece. Interment was held in the Paradise Hill Community Cemetery. Donations in memory of Lilian may be made to a Charity of the Donor's Choice. McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster, Alberta administered the funeral arrangements. Card of Thanks The family of Lilian (Ray) Whitmore would like to express our sincere "Thank you" to all the people at the St. Walburg Lodge that were especially kind, thoughtful and patient with her. We would like to thank the professional staff at McCaw Funeral Service for all their compassion and caring. Thank you to Reverend Father Doll who always goes over and beyond the call of duty to make each funeral a special celebration of the person's life. Thank you to the Maier's band for playing the music and soloists Hazel Maier and Jeff Fenske. Thank you to Bryon Barker for the eulogy. Thank you to Jeff, Edwin, Bryon, Mitchel, Rodney and Allan for acting as pallbearers and to Robert and Grant for being ushers. Thank you to the CWL for the lovely lunch.
