Obituary of Sylvia Latchuk

BIOGRAPHY LATCHUK ~ Sylvia Latchuk passed away in Lloydminster, Alberta on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at the age of 85 years. Sylvia leaves to mourn: four children, Sharon and Dave Gordon, Wilma Latchuk, Rita Latchuk and Richard Latchuk; four grandchildren, Robert, Mitch, Terry and Amber; three sisters, Jean Romaniuk, Cathy Schendell and Stella Hawrelak; one brother, Mike Fedechko as well as numerous other relatives. Sylvia was predeceased by her husband, William; and twin infant boys, Robert and James. The Funeral Service for Sylvia was conducted from Grace United Church in Lloydminster, Alberta with Joyce Dickson officiating. The eulogy was given by Georgina Veltikold. The hymns "Amazing Grace" and "In the Garden" were accompanied by organist Irene Knowlson. The honorary pallbearers were all those who shared in Sylvia's life. The active pallbearers were Jim Latchuk, Gordon Latchuk, Pat Holt, Ken Holt, John Romaniuk and Randy Hawrelak. Interment was held in the Lloydminster City Cemetery, Lloydminster, Saskatchewan. Donations in memory of Sylvia may be made to the Dr. Cooke Patient Comfort Fund or to a Charity of the Donor's Choice. McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster, Alberta administered the funeral arrangements. The family wishes to thank Dr. Kloppers and Dr. du Plooy, and the staff at the Lloydminster Hospital 3rd floor and Dr. Cooke Extended Care Centre. Thank you to Joyce Dickson, Irene Knowlson, Gina Veltikold, all the pallbearers and the Grace United Chuch U.C.W. for the lunch.
