BIOGRAPHY SARETZKY ~ Josephine Saretzky passed away in the Lloydminster Hospital, Lloydminster, Saskatchewan on Friday, May 6, 2011 at the age of 80 years. Josephine will be sadly missed by her husband Paul of Lloydminster; five children: Larry and Bev of West Kelowna, BC, Donald and Brenda of Kelowna, BC, Bryan and Tracy of Whitby, ON, Blair of Lone Rock, SK, Darin Dean of Lloydminster, SK; nine grandchildren: Paula, Donavan, Randy, Christopher, Ryan, Kristen, Brandon, Ricky and Jaclyn; six great grandchildren; brother Johnny Soroka of Saskatoon, SK as well as numerous other relatives. Josephine was predeceased by her granddaughter Treena and sister Olga Saretzky. The prayer service was conducted from the McCaw Funeral Chapel, Lloydminster, Alberta on Monday, May 9, 2011 at 7:00 P.M. with Brother Carlos Nunez officiating. The mass of Christian burial was conducted from the St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church, Lloydminster, Alberta on Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. with Father Louis Fowoyo officiating. A eulogy was given by Darin Dean Saretzky. Leader of song was Marlene Risling accompanied on the organ by Donna Weston. The trumpet player was Mel Risling. The active pallbearers were Randy Saretzky, Christopher and Tracey Saretzky, Ryan Saretzky, Ricky Saretzky and Jaclyn Saretzky. The interment was held in the Lloydminster City Cemetery. McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster, Alberta administered the funeral arrangements. Donations in memory of Josephine may be made to the Lloydminster Palliative Care or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
