Dear Chris, I was so shocked to read of Rick's untimely passing. I was priveleged in meeting the both of you and working with you through Relay For Life for many years. To Rick's Family: I had the privilege of knowing Rick and working with him over his 21 year career at ATCO Electric. Rick was always willing to assist where it would make a difference, could always be depended on and so often put the needs of others ahead of his own. As a journeyman in his trade, he was a teacher, a leader and a craftsman in his role, always supportive. As a person, Rick had many special qualities, but one that shone brightly was his constant belief in the good intentions of others - he always saw the positive side of people and their actions. I will miss Rick. Rest peacefully.

Very sad to hear about Ricks passing, I met Rick working with him in the early 90's at ATCO Electric in Lloydminster I watched him progress from an apprentice lineman to a journeyman lineman. Rick took a lot of pride in his career with ATCO Electric. Rick really enjoyed moose and deer hunting and looked forward to this every fall. He will be missed by his ATCO family and friends. I didn't know much of Rick growing up with him being ahead of me in school by a few years, but I got to know him more as a co-worker at ATCO Electric as we had the "PV connection" in the office. I sat with him on Safety Committee and also did some volunteering with him as he was a core crew member on Relay For Life Day as we used the "string trick" to mark out campsites for the night's event.
