Sylvia Mae Babey passed away at the University of Alberta Hospital in Edmonton, Alberta on Sunday, May 19, 2013 at the age of 71 years.
Sylvia leaves to mourn her passing: her loving partner of 17 years, Abe Unrau; three children: Bryan & Donna Babey, Gregg & Yvonne Babey and Myrna & Dean VanGenderen; two step-daughters: Connie & Larry Guhl and Laura & Ed Ehle; mother, Gladys Christie; brother, Lorne Lillemoen; sister: Karen & Ron Amundrud;11 Grandchildren: Justin Babey (Jody) , Brett Babey, Taylor Babey, Derek VanGenderen, Ryan VanGenderen, Trevor VanGenderen, Nicole Dow (Devin), Kandace Miller (Brad), Derek Miller, Troy Ehle and Calista Ehle; one great granddaughter: Raya Babey; and numerous other relatives.
Sylvia was predeceased by her father in 1971; her husband, Warren in 1994; and step-father, Dale Christie.
Donations in memory of Sylvia may be made to Lloydminster Region Health Foundation.
