BIOGRAPHY LACOMBE ~ Fredrick "Fred" Wendelin passed away at the Dr. Cooke Extended Care Centre, Lloydminster, Alberta on Friday, April 15, 2011 at the age of 86 years. Fred will be sadly missed by his wife Theresa of Lloydminster; six children: Ellen and Calvin Klontz of Edmonton, Joan and Wil Rempel of Edmonton, Bob Lacombe of Lloydminster, Linda Lacombe of Kitscoty, Jim and Kellee Lacombe of Red Deer, Cathy Gaultier of Lloydminster; twelve grandchildren; sister Johanna Sitter of Edam, Saskatchewan as well as numerous other relatives. The prayer service was conducted from the McCaw Funeral Chapel, Lloydminster, Alberta on Sunday, April 24, 2011 at 7:30 P.M. with Brother Carlos Nunez officiating. The mass of Christian burial was conducted from the St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church, Lloydminster, Alberta on Monday, April 25, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. with Father Louis Fowoyo officiating. The interment was held in the Lloydminster City Cemetery. McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster, Alberta administered the funeral arrangements. CARD OF THANKS The family wishes to thank all those who cared for Fred at the Dr. Cooke Extended Care Centre especially Dr. Cavanagh and Dr. Blom. Thank you to Father Louis Fowoyo and Carlos Nunez for their words of comfort and support at the funeral and prayer service, to Verna McFarlane and Cis Nakonechny for the beautiful music, to all those who sent Mass cards, brought food to the house, sent flowers, cards, donations, made phone calls, and visits, to the C.W.L. Ladies for the delicious lunch, and to all those who came to the prayer service and funeral to celebrate Fred's life. Your presence was greatly appreciated. Thank you to Glenn and Dave McCaw and staff for their assistance and kindness. Donations may be made to the Dr. Cooke Patient Comfort Fund or to the charity of the donors choice.
