Obituary of Nelson Prior

PRIOR ~ Nelson John Prior passed away at Battleford Union Hospital on Monday, August 19, 2013 at the age of 70 years. Nelson leaves to mourn his passing: one brother, David; and two aunts: Lillian Ballantyne and Dorothy Marchant. Nelson was predeceased by his brother, Ross; and parents: John and Hughina. The Funeral Service for Nelson was conducted from Mervin Hope Hall on Friday, August 23, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. with Heather Reznechenko officiating. Treena Ballantyne gave the eulogy. The hymns Sung, "In The Garden," "How Great Thou Art" and "This Is God's Wondrous World" were accompanied by organist, Bev Meikle. The honorary pallbearers were all his friends. The active pallbearers were Dustin Ballantyne, Jonathon Ballantyne, Sheldon Eversen, Doug MacKinnon, Perry Reznechenko, and Allan Schneider. Interment was held in the Mervin Cemetery. Donations in memory of Nelson may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster, Alberta administered the funeral arrangements.
