BIOGRAPHY
PATERSON ~ Donald George Paterson passed away peacefully in the Lloydminster Hospital, Lloydminster, Saskatchewan on Monday, April 11, 2011 at the age of 66 years.
Donald will be sadly missed by his companion Shirley Bleie of Marsden; four children: Trevor and Joyce Paterson of Elnora, Alberta, Tracie and Patrick Weinrauch of Saskatoon, Jason Paterson of Strathmore, Carmen Paterson of Vancouver; the mother of his children Pauline Paterson of Strathmore; six grandchildren: Tyla, Brandon, Jasmine, Kesha, Nathanial, Isabelle; two brothers: Earle and Lorainne Paterson of Colinton, Alberta and Paul and Esther Paterson of Abbortsford; one sister Frances Harder of Lloydminster as well as numerous other relatives.
The funeral service was conducted from the Marsden Community Hall, Marsden, Saskatchewan on Thursday, April 14, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Mel Letkeman officiating.
The eulogy was read by Paul Paterson.
A tribute was read by Don's children.
Special music was performed by the Paterson Quartet.
Special CD music "What I Get Carried Away" was played.
The hymn sung was "I'll Fly Away" accompanied on the organ by Lorraine Paterson.
The honorary pallbearers were All Those Who Shared In Don's Life.
The active pallbearers were Doug Snell, Rick Swanstrom, Wayne Bosch, Rob Wiebe, Cory Wiebe and Connor Wiebe.
The interment was held in the Brady Cemetery.
McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster, Alberta administered the funeral arrangements.

The family wishes to thank everyone who supported us in our recent loss through Prayer, visits, phone calls, food, flowers, cards and memorial donations. Special thanks to Dr. du Plooy for his care and compassion for Donald. Also to the 3rd floor nursing staff for their excellent care. Pastor Mel Letkeman for his support and encouraging words. Artland Ladies for the delicious lunch. Friends and family members who made Donald's service a real celebration of his life. Glenn McCaw and staff for their kindness, understanding and compassion.
Donations in memory of Donald may be made to the Manitou Lake Bible Camp or to the charity of the donor's choice.
