Obituary of Gwendolyn Holland

Holland, Gwendolyn Jeanne passed away in Maidstone, Saskatchewan on Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at the age of 68 years. Gwen was born in Hudson Bay, Saskatchewan on March 25, 1943. Gwen leaves to mourn her husband Roger; five children and their families: Ron and Twyla Litton, Dianne and Bob Yanke, Jeff and Gwen Litton, Sharon Schekk and Wendy and Angus McFayden.
The funeral service was held on Saturday, April 9, 2011 at the Legion Hall in Maidstone, Saskatchewan. Thanks to Pastor Howard Ulmer for officiating and for all his visits and to McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., for making the arrangements with great care and support. Tributes to Gwen were read by her brother Ernest Salmond and her close friend, Evelyn Seewalt and following the service lunch was prepared by the Maidstone United Church Ladies.
At this time Roger Holland and family would like to thank the following people for their thoughtfulness in Gwen's care over the years. Dr. Snyman and the 3rd floor nursing staff at the Lloydminster Hospital, numerous other doctors and Brenda Servold of Palliative Care in Lloydminster and area. Also, the Maidstone Hospital staff and doctors and the Maidstone and area Home Care Unit.
Thank you to everyone for visits, phone calls, flowers, food, cards and donations.
Donations in memory of Gwen may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
