Obituary of Lloyd Petrukovich

PETRUKOVICH ~ Lloyd Kenneth Petrukovich passed away at the Lloydminster Hospital on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at the age of 87 years. Lloyd is survived by his son Robert, his wife Debbie and two grandchildren, Chris and Brandi. Lloyd was predeceased by his wife, Emilia in 2004. The funeral service for Lloyd was conducted from The Grace United Church, Lloydminster on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Paul DuVal officiating. The eulogy was read by Chris and Brandi, and scripture was read by Debbie's father Pastor Frank Johnson. The hymns sung were "The Old Rugged Cross" and "There Will Be Peace in the Valley" accompanied by organist, Irene Knowlson and a special reading "God Made a Farmer" written by Paul Harvey. The honorary pallbearers were the Nedelak family. The active pallbearers were Wayne Johnson, Edwin Sand, Owen Lakusta, Ernie Brazunas, Laurie Berg and Lyle Baker. Interment was held in the Lloydminster City Cemetery. The reception was held in the Lloydminster Legacy Centre following the interment. Donations in memory of Lloyd may be made to the Alzheimer Society or to the Heart & Stroke Foundation. McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster administered the funeral arrangements. Card of Thanks In lieu of thank you cards a donation will be made to the Alzheimer Society. The family of Lloyd Petrukovich extend a heartfelt thank you to the following: All Lloyd's friends and relatives who were present at the service, those who sent flowers, cards, food, condolences, visits and donations to charities. They were greatly appreciated. Thank you to all who took part in the service and to Colleen Hozack and her staff for the excellent lunch. Thanks to Dr. Kerlis for you kindness and caring through Lloyd's illness, to the Points West Living staff for the care Lloyd received while there and to the third floor nursing staff of the Lloydminster Hospital.
