Obituary of Gordon Wright

WRIGHT ~ Gordon Stanley Wright passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at the age of 80 years. Gordon leaves to mourn his passing: his loving wife, Rose; two sons, Norman and Hal (Donna Lee); four grandchildren: Jordan Wright (Rhonda Bain), Derrick Wright (Michelle Myshaniuk), Jaclyn Saretzky and Ricky Saretzky (Catherine Meynberg); best friend, Fletcher; two sisters, Doris Gray and Ethel Dickson; brother, Tom (Loreen) Wright. The Funeral Service for Gordon was conducted from Marsden Community Hall, Marsden, Saskatchewan on Thursday, February 20, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Les Johnson officiating. The eulogy was given by Bruce and Carol Graham. The hymns sung were, "Just As I Am," "The Old Rugged Cross," "Amazing Grace" and "Great Is Thy Faithfulness" accompanied by pianist, Deborah Greiner. The honorary pallbearers were all of his friends. The active pallbearers were Ian Puckey, Rob Goodall, Stan Graham, Rick Saretzky, Jim Gray and Bob Dickson. Interment was held in the Brady Cemetery on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at 11:00 A.M.. Donations in memory of Gordon may be made to Marsden and Neilburg Minor Hockey. McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster, Alberta administered the funeral arrangements. Card of Thanks The family would like to say "Thank You" for the overwhelming support everyone has given us for our recent family loss. Thanks for the quick response from 911 and to Ian Puckey and Glen Patterson for their help before the ambulance arrived. Thank you to Louise Gray for being here, for the food, flowers and looking after us and serving coffee and lunch. Thanks to Les Johnson for the nice service, to pianist Debbie Greiner and to Bruce and Carol Graham for the wonderful eulogy.
