DESROSIERS ~ Ralph Desrosiers, son of Willy and Eugenie and beloved spouse of Doreen, passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan at the age of 92 years.
Ralph was born in Chicopee, Massachusetts, U.S.A. on June 27, 1921. He was born prematurely, weighting only 2 1/4 pounds and was not expected to live to maturity.
His family immigrated to Canada in 1931 and settled in Naseby, SK, where times were rough.
Ralph farmed with his father until 1952 when he began Desrosiers Livestock Transport Ltd. in Lloydminster. He and Doreen sold their home in Lloydminster in 1976 and moved to their farm at Sandy Beach. The trucking business was sold in 1979, after which Ralph occupied himself with feeder cattle and the farm.
His family remembers Uncle Ralph for his sense of humor and mischief and his feats of strength. He will be greatly missed.
Ralph leaves to mourn his passing his loving wife, Doreen; three brothers: Wilford (Pat) Desrosiers, Laurent (Annette) Desrosiers and Claude (Adel) Desrosiers; one sister, Raymond Kletzel and numerous nieces and nephews.
