Hastings friends & family, So sorry to read this about Keith. It seems like only yesterday we all lived a stones throw apart. The school picnics, Christmas Concerts, etc, are all wonderful memories. Memories of an awesome community. Great memories. God Bless!

Dear Hastings Family, We were so sorry to hear of Keith's passing. I remember him well and his gentle, kind ways. I vividly remember a time when I was 11 and we were visiting your family. Keith offered to take me for a plane ride and I eagerly agreed. I had never flown before and it was quite an experience! We not only flew level-we tilted every which way and, it seemed to me, almost upside down. Keith kept asking me if I was scared and I answered, "NO!" because I wasn't. It was such a thrill--I loved every minute! He was an amazing pilot and, young as I was, I could tell he was thoroughly enjoying himself. This always has been a lovely memory I have of Keith and I still smile when I think of the excitement of my first airplane ride. Keith and his love of airplanes will always be a special Golden Valley moment for me.

Uncle Keith was a kind and gentle man. He loved sports and had a passion for flying. He was a super bowler and won many trophies, he loved hockey and played with the Lloydminster Neversweats, he also played softball well into his 70's. His plane flying overhead was a common sight on a Sunday afternoon, and, if we were lucky, we were sometimes able to join him as he poked holes in the clouds and flew over the countryside. More than anything else Keith liked to help people. His caring spirit will live on at the airports, in the ice rinks, at the bowling alleys and ball diamonds and anytime anyone does a selfless act of kindness.
