When we first heard the news both my husband Dave and I had so many mixed feelings and thoughts. These ranged from sadness at the news, to smiles and laughs that we shared together and back to shock as he was way to young. Following are thoughts from my husband to your family, but I too share these emotions.
It is with a heavy heart that I learned of the passing of Dave. Although we had not been in touch with one another in many years the bond of our life long friendship still sticks in my mind.These go back to our days in Caron/Mortlach on the sheep ranch to our times together as room mates in Moose Jaw. At that time Dave was a new recruit for Graham Construction and I was going to school. Through the years we did many things together. These ranged from our annual hunting trips, to our many times fishing which also included a fly in fishing trip. No matter what we were doing we always seemed to share so many good times and laughs. Not only did these great times & friendships grow with Dave but also his family who always made you feel welcome by opening up their home and hearts to you. Dave was also best man at my wedding and I was grateful to have him by my side on that special occasion.
The wonderful times we shared together will last in my heart forever.
It was truly an honour to have known him and call him my friend.
Rest in peace Dave.
