Obituary of Erika Bendick

BENDICK ~ Erika Bendick passed away near Lloydminster, Saskatchewan on Friday, June 27, 2014 at the age of 78 years. Floyd Grant Bendick passed away at the Royal University Hospital, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan on Thursday, July 3, 2014 at the age of 81 years. Erika and Floyd leave to mourn their passing: five children: Bonnie Bendick, Brenda Bendick (Ron Dueck), Laurie (Charles) Darling, Brian Bendick, Bradley (Donna) Bendick; ten grandchildren; Robyn Geffard, Zachary, Cassidy and Bethany Dueck, Jackson and Ethan Darling, Kyle Greer, Erika, Greg and Matthew Bendick; Floyd's siblings: Bud Bendick and Gordon Bendick; Erika's siblings: Hans Rauser, Wally Rauser, Elvera Trefiak, Katie Sankey, Ruth Foster and Violet McNab. The Service for Erika and Floyd was conducted from Lloydminster Gospel Fellowship, Lloydminster, Saskatchewan on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Paul DuVal officiating. Words of remembrance were given by Birdie Miller. The hymns sung were, "It Is Well With My Soul" and "How Great Thou Art" accompanied by organist, Irene Knowlson. Ruth Foster and Violet Schaeffer sung "Church in The Wild Wood" and "Little Green Valley." Grace United Church Choir along with th Lloydminstrels sung "Jesus You Have Come to The Lakeshore" and "Now in Peace." The Urn Bearer was Bethany Dueck. The Active Pallbearers were Brian Bendick, Brad Bendick, Chuck Darling, Ron Dueck, Zachary Dueck and Cassidy Dueck. Interment was held in the Lloydminster City Cemetery, Lloydminster, Saskatchewan. The Reception followed in the Centennial Civic Centre, Lloydminster, Saskatchewan. Donations in memory of Erika and Floyd may be made to the Parkinson Society or Richard Larson Barr Colony Foundation. McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster, Alberta administered the funeral arrangements. Card of Thanks We would like to thank the Emergency and Rescue staff as well as the Royal University Hospital Staff. We would like to thank all those who took part in the service as well as all those who attended. Thank you to all those who phoned, visited, sent cards, flowers and food or made charitable donations.
