Obituary of Susie Biever

BIEVER ~ Susie Elizabeth Biever passed away peacefully in the Lloydminster Hospital, Lloydminster, Saskatchewan on Thursday, March 3, 2011 at the age of 97 years.
Susie will be sadly missed by her son Roger of Edmonton, Roger's daughter's: Valerie Simard (Joe) of Airdrie, and children Nicolas, Michael and Dawson; Cheryl Garbera (Walter) of Edmonton and children Chantelle, Brandon, Thomas and Ethan; her daughter Darlene Grelowski (Frank Winterhalt) of Lloydminster and her children Doug Grelowski of Calgary and Michelle Mullins of Calgary and children Matthew and Joshua; sisters-in-law Violet Lorenz, Vicky Lorenz and Verna Lorenz as well as numerous other relatives.
She was predeceased by her husband, Matt and son Robert (Bob) in 1997, her parents Peter and Magdalene, sisters Nellie Koch and Mary Kisslinger, and brothers Leo, Simon, Peter Alphonse, Joe, Jake and Alois.
The prayer service was conducted from the McCaw Funeral Chapel, Lloydminster, Alberta on Sunday, March 6, 2011 at 6:00 P.M. with Brother Carlos Nunez officiating.
The Mass of Christian burial was conducted from the St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church, Lloydminster, Alberta on Monday, March 7, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. with Father Louis Fowoyo officiating.
The eulogy was given by Darlene Grelowski as well as Roger Biever, and their children Doug, Michelle, Valerie and Cheryl.
Leader of song was Marlene Risling accompanied on the organ by Cis Nakonechny.
The trumpeter was Mel Risling.
The active pallbearers were nephews Garry Lorenz, Nobert Lorenz, Rick Lorenz, Glen Lorenz, Ken Lorenz and nieces' son, Reg Hoegl.
The interment was held in the Lloydminster City Cemetery.
McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., administered the funeral arrangements.
CARD OF THANKS
Thanks to Dean, Glenn and Don at McCaw's for their usual excellence in helping us through this difficult time.
We would like to thank Dr. Van der Merwe along with the nurses and staff on the 3rd floor of the Lloydminster Hospital for the wonderful care she received. Also, all the staff at Points West and Pioneer Lodge for making mom's last years so enjoyable for her. Lloydminster Home Care nurses have been an important part of mom's life for the past several years so we would like to express our gratitude to them as well.
Thanks to Brother Carlos and Father Louis for the prayer and funeral services. Thanks to Marlene, Mel and Cis for the music, the pallbearers, and the C.W.L. for lunch and providing the honor guard and special prayer for mom. Also our deepest appreciation to everyone for the cards, visits, phone calls, flowers, donations, and food.
