Obituary of Virgil Franke

FRANKE ~ Virgil Henry Franke passed away at the Lloydminster Hospital on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at the age of 78 years. Virgil was born at Leipzig, Saskatchewan on June 8, 1936 to Eva and Henry Franke. Virgil leaves to mourn his passing: his loving wife of 54 years, Arlee; daughter, Lori (Greg) Jezowski; two sons: Rick Franke and Kevin (Rita) Franke; seven grandchildren: Dallas, Derek, Brody, Mikayla, Rawson, Raecine and Devon; one brother, Wayne Franke; three sisters: Nita Perlinger, Sharon (Jerry) Duchscher and Karen (Ray) Ziegler; as well as numerous other relatives. Virgil was predeceased by his parents: Eva and Henry Franke; brother-in-law, Leonard Perlinger and numerous other relatives. The Memorial Service was conducted from McCaw Funeral Chapel, Lloydminster, Alberta on Monday, September 15, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. with Joyce Carson officiating. Raecine Franke and Brody Jezowski gave the eulogy. The Urn Bearers were Lori Jezowski, Rick Franke and Kevin Franke. Interment was held in the Lloydminster City Cemetery, Lloydminster, Saskatchewan. A reception followed in the Legacy Centre, Lloydminster, Alberta. Donations in memory of Virgil may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or to the Canadian Cancer Society. McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster, Alberta administered the funeral arrangements.
