BIOGRAPHY RICHARDSON ~ Henrietta Leona Richardson passed away at the Pine Island Lodge, Maidstone, Saskatchewan on Sunday, November 9, 2014 at the age of 97 years. Hettie was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan on November 4, 1917 to Henrietta and William Copan. Hettie leaves to mourn her passing: two half-sisters: Margaret Baldwin and Marlene Overman; one half-brother, Dan Copan; three sons: Ken Richardson, Glen & Val Richardson and Robin & Maureen Richardson; three daughters: Margaret Boggust, Dorothy & Les McLaren and Ruby & Rob Johnstone; Ten grandchildren: Kirk & Wendy Richardson, Karen & Marty Yarrows, Rory & Crystal Richardson, Jamie Richardson, Ashley Richardson, Marty & Shea Boggust, Granddaughter-in-law Denise Boggust, Stacey Gunville, Holly & Darrel Moore, Grant McKay and Shyla Johnstone; nine great-grandchildren: Trace Richardson, Cash Boggust, Levi Boggust, Angie Boggust, Josh McLaren, Eric Streisel, Coda Gunville, Austin Moore and Knox Johnstone as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Hettie was predeceased by her parents, William and Henrietta Copen; husband, Charles; son, George; half-brother, Maurice Copan; two grandsons, Darcy McLaren & Todd Boggust; daughter-in- law, Darlene Richardson; Son in-law Barry Boggust and two great-great grandsons Hurley & Isaiah Gunville. The Funeral Service for Hettie was conducted from the Royal Canadian Legion, Maidstone, Saskatchewan on Monday, November 17, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. with Henry Sawatzky officiating. Lewis Wilkinson gave the eulogy. The hymns sung "In The Garden" and "Beyond The Sunset" were accompanied by organist Frances Wright. The honorary pallbearers were all Hettie's family and friends. The active pallbearers were Ken Tuplin, Barry McConnell, Doug Wright, David Mitchell, Paul Valliere and Lewis Wilkinson. Interment was held in the Maidstone Cemetery, Maidstone, Saskatchewan. McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster, Alberta administered the funeral arrangements. CARD OF THANKS The family of the late Hettie Richardson would like to thank McCaw Funeral Service and all those who cared for Mom in Pine Island Lodge. Thank you to Henry Sawatzky for officiating, Frances Wright for the music, the Legion ladies for the Honor Guard and lovely lunch. Thanks to the pallbearers and a special thanks to Lewis Wilkinson for reading the Eulogy and also to all who sent flowers, food and donation in Hettie's memory. Your kindness will be remembered.
