My sincere condolences to the family. My apologies for be so late with this message but, just found out the unfortunate news. My memories of Garth go back a long way as brother David was just four months older than Garth. I have been looking for old school pics back to the Roland View era with identities. Aside from, may your memories of a dear husband, papa, grandpa live on in your lives forever until you meet up again. I know that he will be guiding your steps on your final walks through life. May he rest in peace.

So sorry to hear of Garth's passing. His unique smile and sense of humour will be missed. Sorry I was unable to make it to the service. According to Garth he made the great sacrifice to raise a glass for my birth, which was coincidentally his 21st birthday, since he knew none of the Rutherfords would be so inclined. I will think of him often and especially on the birthday we shared and promise to raise a glass in his memory.

Our thoughts are with you Dolores, Wallace, Janet, Brent & family at this time. Lawrence has kept us posted of the many times Garth was so sick. I remember the kindness of Garth when I had my business next to yours in Neilburg and he always did the heavy snow removal in the winter and if I had some problems with the building, he would come and look after it for me with just a smile. He will be missed in the community for his kindness to others. May you find comfort that he no longer needs to suffer with pain and discomfort. Wallace, Jim Atcheson sends his condolences as well. (He was the man you met on the plane several years ago and when he asked where you were from he had asked you if you knew the Olsen's)

Hi, I know that's what Garth would have said when I seen him. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. I will fondly remember all the great times we had together. He was a wonderful friend on the curling ice, in the community and a great supporter of the baseball endeavors in the community. I know that curling in Neilburg would not have survived without the countless hours he spent promoting the game that he loved. I will miss telling him "hurry hard harder Garth". May the Glory and Love of our Lord and Savior "Jesus Christ" shine down upon Garth and his family always and forever. God Bless.
