I am saddened to hear of the passing of Brian. Perk, Barry and I grew up together in Lloydminster on the north side of the tracks. I have many good memories of all of us neighborhood kids hanging out together, either playing outside on the streets or at the exhibition grounds....before it was developed. We went to Queen Elizabeth school together and those childhood memories were some of the best times that can never be erased. I remember always feeling protected when Brian was around because he would not think twice about confronting someone who was being a jerk or being rude. He was a big teddy bear who always stuck up for the underdog. As people leave school and lives go on in different directions, Brian was always so friendly whenever I would see him and we could talk just like it was yesterday. The world has lost a good man and heaven has gained a great angel. My prayers go out to his family at this difficult time....but rest assured he will be watching over you.
