Obituary of Ralph Gerbig

GERBIG ~ Ralph John Gerbig passed away at the Maidstone Health Complex, Maidstone, Saskatchewan on Sunday, March 15, 2015 at the age of 72 years. Ralph leaves to mourn his passing: his loving wife, Sheila; daughter, Shelleen Gerbig (Marc Bremont) and their children: Charles, Conrad, Charlize and Cole; daughter, Joanna (Blaine) Forsberg and their children: Jesse, Alex and Lana; sister, Joyce Orange; and numerous other relatives. Ralph was predeceased by his parents: Lloyd and Ida Gerbig; sister, Iona Voinorosky and brother, Buck Gerbig. The Memorial Service for Ralph was conducted from the Maidstone Legion Hall, Maidstone, Saskatchewan on Friday, March 20, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Ean Kasper officiating. Charles Bremont and Jesse Forsberg gave the eulogy. The hymns sung were "In the Garden" and "In the Sweet By and By" accompanied by organist, Frances Wright. The recessional music was "Can I Have This Dance?" by Charles Bremont and sung by Shelleen Gerbig and Lora Miller. The recessional urn bearers were Lana Forsberg, Charlize Bremont, Conrad Bremont and Cole Bremont. Donations in memory of Ralph may be made to STARS Ambulance or to Maidstone Health Complex. McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster, Alberta administered the funeral arrangements. Card of Thanks The Gerbig family would like to thank Dr. Spangenberg and Dr. Stander as well as the Nurses, Ambulance Attendants and Hospital staff at the Maidstone Health Complex.
