Diane, so sorry to hear of your mom's passing. Mom remembers how kind your Mom was to her. She told me about how your mom offered her a Smith Brothers candy when they were in grade school. She had never had a candy before and remembers her kindness to this day.
She will be missed.

My condolences to the whole Davies family. Shirley, or Mrs. Davies as we used to call her, was very involved in many activities I was involved with as a child....from Queen Elizabeth School to figure skating both summer and winter at the Civic Centre. She was never one to sit by and idly watch...she got her hands dirty and dug right in with any work that needed doing. She always greeted everyone with a warm smile and a cheery "hello". She was a true gem.

My late husband Jody and I came to know Shirley and Harvey at Minestikewan Lake when we all had seasonal sites for our trailers. Many of us looked forward to see our lake friends each summer. Shirley was always very hospitable and enjoyed company and was one I enjoyed visits with at her trailer. Our men would talk men things while ours was about the importance of family and what brought us pleasure. My condolences go out to you at this time.
