I will always cherish our family's connection with the Meiklejohn family. From the occasions of playing at Mr. and Mrs. Meiklejohn's funerals when I was a boy, to the fascination I had for playing the Johnny Horton record, over and over again, on your mom and dad's old blond stereo system, watching the cows give birth out in your barnyard, and especially what a good friend your dad Bill was to dad and your mom to mom Doreen. May they all rest in eternal peace.

So sorry to hear of Joan's passing. Although we did not see her often during the last many years we certainly enjoyed our visits with her particularly at Lee Park. She was always cheerful, had a great smile and we would catch up on the latest news in our respective lives.
