NYKIFORUK ~ Raymond Adolf Nykiforuk passed away on July 7, 2015 at the age of 53 years. It is with great sadness the family says see you later to Raymond. He leaves to mourn: his loving devoted wife of 14 years, Paulette Tysiaczny; mother, Millie Nykiforuk; son, Eric Nykiforuk; daughter, Erin Nykiforuk; step-son, Dennis Fiddler; brother, Michael (Trish) Nykiforuk; sisters, Barbara Tallant and Lynda Palibroda; brother-in-law, Richard “Dick” Jiricka and numerous aunties, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Raymond was predeceased by: his father, Adolf Nykiforuk, sister, Debbie Jiricka and his grandparents.
Raymond was born November 10, 1961. He came into the world with a bang after his dad hit a snow bank on the way to the hospital. Ray grew up on a farm in Steep Creek, Saskatchewan. Ray loved the farm life. Throughout his youth he could be found climbing trees and getting into innocent trouble with his siblings and cousins in tow. Ray grew up with lots of family around. He had a very special and close relationship with his uncles. Ray attended elementary school at East Central, went to junior highschool at Wesmor Junior Highschool and graduated from Carlton Comprehensive Highschool at 17 years old. Ray went on to continue is education at Kelsey Campus in Saskatoon where he completed a course for heavy duty mechanic. Following college he tried his hand at farming, later moving to jobs as a heavy equipment operator for various employers. Ray loved his dirt and his fishing. He always knew what to do and loved doing what he knew how to do. Ray was blessed with two beautiful children that were the highlight of his life. In the last years of his life he had the great pleasure of being loved and cared for by his devoted wife and love of his life. Ray and Paulette met as kids and from the first meeting, Paulette knew he was the one. It took many years and various bumps into each other before her dream was to become a reality. A perfect time meeting brought them together in 2001 until his passing. Ray lived a full life and was always there for those that needed hin. He will be missed by all those that had the pleasure of knowing him.
