Jean,
I was saddened to read about Dennis's passing in Cattlemen Magazine. Deepest condolences to you and your family, from Carmi and me. It was a privilege to have known and worked with Dennis at the feedlot and later at Canfax. I am sure that it was a good word from Dennis that got me the job at Canfax, for which I was very grateful. I always liked visiting and talking with him, as I found him to be one of the most knowledgeable people I knew in the cattle industry.
So sorry for your loss.

I just heard about Dennis' passing from Rubin Mapletoft, a close friend. I don't know if any of you remember me but Dennis hired me, an Animal Health Technologist, along with Kathy, to treat the cattle housed at Hi-Gain (1978). Dennis always had vision for the future and we were the first technicians hired in Alberta. I will always be grateful to him for taking a chance on me since I had an urban background. I didn't even drive at the time but he gently urged me to until he found a used half ton truck for me to buy. Changed my life. I did a lot of "growing" at the feedlot, had lots of fun but worked hard when it was time to work. I found Dennis to be one who could think outside the box, a hard worker, good sense of humour, loved his family, very competent, and lived a full life. I appreciated reading the history of his life. All of you, especially you Jean, have got to be dearly missing this fine man. It was an honour knowing him.
Sincerely, Fran Beckles (formerly Frances Savage-Oliver)

Dear Jean and Family
Very sorry to hear of Dennis death. We hope that you may find strength to endure such a difficult time.
Even though we have not connected recently we always had much respect for you and Dennis. i always admired him in College and in his career path. He was one year ahead of me and after He went to work with CP I always felt he gave me a recommendation to also get a job with CP. Our careers took a similar path from the feed business, feedlot and then ranching.
I know that you have family involved which must be a blessing. We trust that God may give you strength to endure.
We will always remember Dennis as a friend and a leader in the livestock industry.
Faye and Garnet

Dear Mrs Wobeser:
I was saddened to hear through Brian Callender of your late husbands passing. You May recall we met at Brian and Wendys' home in Kingston and shared a meal together. I recall your late husband was not only a terrific family man but a progressive farmer and business man , starting a commercial subdivision well before the oil boom.
Through your daughter Wendy [who is someone you can take great pride in] I got to know your entire family .Your late husband lives on through your children and grand children. This is a great legacy! Looking forward to seeing you when you are in Kingston!
Sincerely:
BILL BISHOP

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Wobeser and Sidoryk families. Dennis was a great guy who always had time to stop and chat. I remember my Dad sold him a black mare with a white half-moon on her forehead named "Rosie" back in the late 80's or early 90's. I can't remember if it was a team or just the one mare he put together with something else. Anyway I remember Dennis was real happy with that mare and whenever we drove by and saw her in the pasture, we were always pleased she went to a very good home. We really enjoyed the nice service and especially the audio tape of Dennis being interviewed for a school project by one of the grandchildren. That tape will be more precious as time goes on. Dennis was a very likeable guy and will be missed by so many in this area. May God bless all the families now and ever.

It was two years ago this motn that we had the privilege and pleasure of hosting our Class of 61 Agros at our home in Red Deer. Dennis and I had a couple of great chats about "things" as only a couple of Agros can do--you know---grass---canola---markets---exports---trade barriers disguised as health issue--. Don't think we solved much that day, but it was enjoyable to get his "take" on these matters. It is so great to remember your visit and the good times and laughs we all enjoyed. Our best wishes to you and your families.
