Oh so terribly sorry Wes & family.Dick and I left for California for the winter and only heard yesterday about your most tragic loss of a dear wife, mother & friend. Vera will be missed by so many and her talents were un-numbered.Not only was she a blessing to her church but the community as well.I was proud to have known Vera and call her "friend." Vera was a wonderful lady, and will be missed by all who have known her. Vera helped with practice when my daughter, Adele sang in the music festival at the Grace United Church some years ago. I send my condolences to the entire Saunders family. Vera was a good friend to my Mom and they enjoyed "comuting", either by car or by foot, to play bells at the church. I remember her as a dedicated hockey and swim mom. Vera will be missed by many people.

I am very shocked by the news of Aunt Vera. I had received a Christmas card from her & she never ever gave any indication that she had been ill all these past years. She seemed to be still carrying on with all her many activities. I still remember the time the whole family stayed with us for a few days one summer. I'll tell you that between all her family & my boys my basement looked like a cyclone had hit it. They had had a great time with all the tossing of pillows etc. A good time had been had by all. We are sad of hearing the news of Vera's passing. She always told us never call her "aunt".My fond memories of her were when she visited our family in Owen Sound as a beautiful young woman. she taught us a rope trick to stop cars.We will miss her greatly.

I last saw Vera when I was 5. I have memories of a beautiful, sophisticated young woman who will always be young. She wasn't much older than I, but the difference back then was huge. I hear about Vera regularly through Sandra and feel close to her. I hope that memories and time will ease the pain for all who knew her. Michael
