Frederick Robert Gies passed away peacefully in The Lloydminster Hospital on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at the age of 92 years.
He was born on December 12, 1923 in Elmira, Ontario.
He is survived by two sons: Fred and Karen Gies and John Gies; one daughter: Donna Kosteriva and Alain and son-in-law: Dale Kosteriva; 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren and numerous other relatives.
Donations may be made to The Edmonton Stollery Children's Hospital.
