Condolences to Bob, Dianne, and Moanne and families on the passing of Mr. Price to me. The Prices were close friends and neighbours over the years and he was a "towering" force in the community as an educator, principal and involvement with sports in the days we could actually bring hockey sticks to play shinny at recess! Was so pleased to chat with Dianne and "Mo" as he insisted I call him at my mother's memorial in Lloydminster and rehash great memories and the old days!

Dear Bob and Dianne and all the rest of the family,
I was really sorry to hear of your dad's passing and was glad you had him for many years. He was a prominent figure when I was growing up in Lloydminster. Maybe it was because he was the school principle and maybe it was just because I was quite young but I remember him as being very tall and such a commanding presence.
The first and probably the only time I was ever called to the office was in about 1958 or so, when Brian Bexson threw a snowball at me and it cut my chin. My mom had called the office and of course something had to be done about such a serious thing. I think that your dad either threatened or used THE STRAP on Brian, something I felt badly about afterwards, but it seemed justified at the time.
I do think your dad was always fair and I know he was very involved with the community. Please remember that he is in many people's memories.
Sincerely,
Irene Essar Temple

To try to put our thoughts together in a short summary is virtually impossible He meant so much to our development during our early years.
.A few memories: his patience as a teacher; 7:00 am hockey games in an unheated arena;poached eggs in a small town cafe before a road trip hockey game; his dreaded PT class with the spring board and saw horses; bringing in a film of the previous years Stanley Cup final, albeit a year later it was still a real thrill for us; plus he was the happiest person at our reunion remembering everyone of us. A life well lived!

I am very sorry to hear about the passing of Mr. Price. He taught me in the 1950's about respect. He was coach of my hockey team and late in the second period of a game, I said "Mo, is my line next?" Needless to say I did not get to play any of the the third period. This will probably get me benched again, "Rest in peace, Mo."
My condolences to all his family and friends.

I would like to extend my condolences to Mo's Children on the passing of their Father, Elmo.
At all times, I found Mo to be a very friendly and co-operative fellow ... the kind of guy that was a credit to the Lloydminster Community and will now be a terrific loss for our Community.
Go in Peace, Mo ... you have earned your reward!

Mr. (he well earned that respect) Price was such an influential leader and role model. Hard to believe it is some 60 years since he imparted those lessons in responsibility and fair play in setting up those first hockey leagues in Lloydminster. Such a community contributor in so many ways for such a long time. RIP

Lloydminster will never be the same to many of us without Mo still being there. We had the opportunity to have lunch with him last summer when we were passing through Lloyd. During that visit we found he still had an amazing capacity for remembering names, faces, and events. He contributed so much the youth of the community. We remember him for the countless hours he spent in the 50’s at the old Lloydminster Arena giving young boys their first taste of hockey. Several went on to play in the NHL.
Mo we will miss you in many ways. Enjoy eternity in heaven with Thelma.
To “Mr. Price’s” family our condolences.

To say that Mo Price was just a teacher is to say that Michelangelo was just a house painter.
Mo's strong, positive influences on all of the Lloydminster area's children, from the classroom to the sports fields, for 35 years was what Gordie Howe was to hockey.
Your imprint on all of us was profound, allowing you to leave the world a much better place due to all your efforts.
Thank you, Mo, for being the first anti-smoking crusader in Lloydminster, which is the main reason I never smoked.
May you continue to enjoy your love of proper English and spelling with your crossword puzzles in heaven.

Sorry to read of Mo's passing. My husband The Late Don Williams, always spoke so highly of Mo. Those were great times back in Lloydminster. Memories are what embraces the family at this sad time, so hold them close to your heart. He will be remembered by all that crossed his path. The teachers all enjoyed the area for golf, hunting & The Prince Charles. God Bless Mo's Family

Mo and I were the same age,and grew up together in Melfort .At a school reunion
about1980 we renewed our friendship and kept in good contact including visits, until the present time .So Mo was my oldest friend-a fact I am truly proud of .In a recent conversation we wondered if we were the last of our class. I will surely miss my good
old friend .
Sincere condolences to his entire family.
