Obituary of Daniel Biggs
Please share a memory of Daniel to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Daniel "Dan" Elvin Biggs passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at the Jubilee Home in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan at the age of 78 years.
Dan will be fondly remembered by his daughter, Terry (Allan) Hoffart; his son, Kelly (Vicki) Biggs; and daughter in law, Wanetta Biggs. He will also be missed by his six grandchildren: Brady Hoffart, Dustin Hoffart, Danielle Biggs, Madison Biggs, Janessa (Tyler) Biggs and Ryan Laubenstein; one great grandchild, Logan Laubenstein, who he always referred as "my little buddy"; his siblings, Bernice (Dave) Thompson and Dale (Sharon) Biggs; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Dan was predeceased by his youngest son Daniel "Danny" Jr. in 2005 and his parents, Mary and Philip Biggs.
Dan was born in Watson, Saskatchewan and the majority of his younger years were spent in that area. As a young man he went to work at the Uranium Mines in Uranium City, Saskatchewan. He then moved to Medicine Hat where he married and raised his family. He retired from Goodyear Canada in June of 1990 after working there for 30 years. After he retired, he kept busy with odd jobs and took pride in his milk cows and miniature horses. In 2009 he moved to the Lloydminster, Alberta area where he enjoyed gardening, raising chickens and fishing trips with his brother, Dale (Ducky), and also spent time hunting and trapping.
Dan's wishes will be respected and there will not be a funeral service. He did, however, approve of a "gathering" of family and friends which will be planned for a later date in Medicine Hat, Alberta. At that time, an announcement will be published.
If you wish, condolences may be left on the McCaw Funeral Service website.
