Obituary of Edmund Chambers

BIOGRAPHY CHAMBERS ~ Edmund “Ed” Henry Chambers passed away peacefully in the Turtleford Hospital, Turtleford, Saskatchewan on Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at the age of 87 years. Ed will be sadly missed by his five children: Carol and Mike Carlson, Allan and Lorna Chambers, Ken and Margaret Chambers, Richard Chambers, Terry Chambers; nine grandchildren: Mark and Michelle Carlson, Alison and Scot Heidel, Aaron Chambers, Amy Chambers and fiancé Shannon Skinner, Adrian Chambers, Kim and Eden Diggle, Lori Chambers, Colin Chambers, Henry Chambers; five great grandchildren: Mickayla Carlson, Ashten Carlson, Megan Diggle, Riley Heidel and Bradley Heidel as well as numerous other relatives. The funeral service was conducted from the Good Shepherd United Anglican Church, Turtleford, Saskatchewan on Saturday, November 27, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Canon Donald Skinner officiating. The eulogy was read by Alison Heidel, Kim Diggle, Lori Chambers and Amy Chambers. The hymns sung were “Softly & Tenderly” and “Beyond The Sunset” accompanied on the organ by Bev Meikle. The honorary pallbearers were All Those Who Shared In His Life. The active pallbearers were Mark Carlson, Aaron Chambers, Adrian Chambers, Colin Chambers, Henry Chambers, Riley Heidel and Bradley Heidel. The interment was held in the Turtleford Cemetery. McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Turtleford, Saskatchewan administered the funeral arrangements. The family would like to thank Dr. Gohil and the staff at the Riverside Health Complex, the residents at the Lodge and Home Care. The family of Ed Chambers Donations in memory of Ed may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Riverside Health Complex.
