Leslie John Smith passed away peacefully at Points West Nursing Home, Lloydminster, Alberta on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at the age of 97 years.
Les is survived by: his daughters, Gladys Toth and Colleen (Dwain) McMillan; his sons, Alvin and Grant (Linda); his son-in-law, Wayne Shirtliffe; 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and his brother, Ken.
Les was predeceased by: his wife, Sophie; his daughter, Lynne Shirtliffe; his grandson, Mark Smith; son-in-law, Tony Toth; and his brother, Ron Smith.
The funeral service for Les will be conducted from the McCaw Funeral Chapel, Lloydminster, Alberta on Friday, January 13, 2017 at 11:00 AM.
The reception will be at the Knox Presbyterian Hall immediately following the service.
Donations in memory of Les may be made to North Bend Co-operative Community Centre or Charity of Choice.
