God's peace and blessing on Barbara's family. I knew Barbara and Vernon very well while I was in Marsden-Neilburg. I had coffee many times with Vern. These were two very nice people who gave to life more than they took. It was a pleasure knowing them.

Dear Lyndon and Nadine, Shirley and Bill and Myrna and families:
My sincerest condolences to you. Vern and Barbara were such a great couple. You didn't say one name without the other. I remember when Jewell and I bought roasting chickens. Part of the good price we got was we had to kill them, pluck them and take out the innards. This was on a Monday- our day off. What a job!!! I have never been so tired. (except when I was in a funspiel at Marsden one Saturday.) We wanted to do 20 chickens that day but only got to twelve and only that number because Barbara and Vern pitched in and helped us. If I recall, after that day, it took us a while to 'eat' chicken. More than anything though, I remember their deep love for each other, their family and their Lord. God bless you as you grieve, mourn and celebrate Barbara's life and love. Darrell Shaule
