I was looking for a John Deere tractor but guess a deck of cards will do. Watching grandma B with her nail file and grandpa on the other side with guests playing some good old cards. Bowling hours. Poppy for his years of dedication. the love hate relationship with the cats make me chuckle. good old farm truck and riding in that was a fun adventure with him. all the car rides to come visit. gardening as it fell in with the farming life. relgion with his rich family history. how every picture could replay his life and how he has created so many pleasant stories to share. The scream from his hearing aids as they were up too high or when he tuned them out for moments of quiet laugh. Awe thank you. much love to you all as we grieve and celebrate his life.

Been an emotional time processing this time as I hear the news as I feel peace for your passing. Loved visiting in the fall and hearing your presents even though he were partially leaving us. Our daughter who carries part of your name in honor. She is young never experienced this saddness and forever she will cherish your life story. Grandpa in the hospital with the chocolate bar stash he was so proud to share with her. The sparkle in his eye when small kids were in sight. His chuckle and quiet love he never had to say much. It was a special bond. He was always present at all the important times. Driving around looking at the fields and talking about the past. Always loved great food.people.his place at the table or living room. family farm gatherings in the younger years. the homestead was always home no matter what generation. coffee time in town.community events with him. enjoyed a good tasting night cap with good company. his love for smart ladies teaching us what love & loyality could be. Something I could never say enough in any statement. Thank you to our aunt who showed us all what a nuturing loving child looks like. She gave much hours of her life in caring for our handsome grandpa. His life was a lot more comfortable and joyous. May we send all our prayers and strength at this time to you aunt Shelley. Thank you. I have so much to say but those memories will be forever with grandpa & I. RIP my handsome grandpa! ❤

His life was a blessing, memories are treasures but grandpa will be loved beyond words and missed beyond measure. I will always remember kindness, caring and community minded person he was.
Memories of grandpa taking me to the fair and letting my aunt and I oogle over the semi's on display. Memories of grandpa sneaking a baking and ensuring I got to also join him enjoying the yummy baking with him.
