Obituary of Joyce Katzmarzyk

It is with profound sadness that the family of Joyce announce her sudden passing. Joyce Katzmarzyk passed away suddenly in Beaumont, Alberta on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at the age of 97 years.

Joyce is lovingly remembered by: three daughters, Lorna(John) Misiak, Linda(Ken) Papley, Judy(Stan) Lafoy; one son, Roy(Anne) Katzmarzyk; one daughter-in-law, Margery Katzmarzyk; her sister, Gladys Merchison; her brother, Alan(Myrna) Ridden; 13 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren.

Joyce was predeceased by her husband, Paul; son, John; son-in-law, Gary; her sister, Violet and her brother, Victor.

Joyce and Paul farmed in the Marwayne area for many years. Upon their retirement they moved into the town of Marwayne. After Paul passed Joyce moved into a condo in Beaumont to be close to family.

Joyce enjoyed gardening, crocheting, reading, playing cards, watching curling, and family get togethers. She enjoyed visits with all her family and her many friends.

The Funeral Service in memory of Joyce will be conducted from McCaw Funeral Chapel, Lloydminster, Alberta on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at 1:00 PM with internment to follow at the Marwayne Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Joyce may be made to the charity of your choice or to the Marwayne Cemetery.
