BIOGRAPHY PANIAK ~ Lawrence Theodore Paniak passed away peacefully at his home near Lloydminster, Alberta on Saturday, October 2, 2010 at the age of 63 years. Lawrence will be sadly missed by his wife Shirley; children: Lori and Paule Paniak of Kitchener, Lisa and Claus Penno of Edmonton, Tristan and Jennifer Paniak of Lloydminster, Terrill and Kathy Paniak of Lloydminster; eight grandchildren: Liam, Eloise, Lianna, Alexa, Keegan, Kiera Jade, Emily and Ty; mother Jean Paniak of Edmonton; siblings: Valerie and Robert Dunn of Calgary, Vince and Shirley Paniak of Edmonton, Christopher and Arlene Paniak of Edmonton, Marilyn and Drew Brimacombe of Gilbert, Arizona as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A gathering to reflect Lawrence's life was held at the McCaw Funeral Chapel, Lloydminster, Alberta on Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at 7:00 P.M. The funeral service was conducted from the St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church, Lloydminster, Alberta on Thursday, October 7, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. with Father Jan Sobkowicz officiating. A eulogy was read by Vince Paniak. Leader of song was Carla Feist accompanied on the piano by Melanie Pellerin. The honorary pallbearers were All His Family & Friends. McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster, Alberta administered the funeral arrangements. CARD OF THANKS The Paniak Family would like to thank Dr. Adele Naude, Dr. Stewart-Hunter, the Lloydminster Hospital Staff and the Vermilion Home Care Nurses for the wonderful loving care that Lawrence received. Thank you to Father Jan Sobkowicz for officiating such a lovely service and to Melanie Pellerin and Carla Feist for their beautiful gift of music. A special thank you to all who sent cards and flowers, made donations in Lawrence's memory, brought food to the house and for the phone calls and visits of everyone who send their thoughts and prayers. Your thoughtfulness is greatly appreciated.
