Sorry to hear of Bruce’s passing. I first met Bruce when he first hired on with Trican and worked directly with me during the winter of 1996/1997 up in the Red Earth area of Alberta. We were a fledgling company at the time with one coiled tubing unit, 9 cement pumpers and a very small crew of staff that were competing with all the large companies in the industry. We established Trican as an up and coming company in the coil business and by the end of the winter we were noted as a group of people that would provide to our customers what we promised. It was a defining time for us and without Bruce, his work, skills, professional commitment and all the long hours we put in the company would not have had the solid start that it did. Although we did not have all the support and resources of other companies at the time Bruce was a breath of fresh air when tackling all of the challenges we faced to make a mark in the industry to which Trican was noted for. Bruce was respected by so many in the industry and shows how he has reached out to so many as I’m currently over seas yet I’ve been contacted by so many through emails, texts and voice mails alerting me to the sad news. Unfortunately I will not be able to make it to Bruce’s funeral because of my remoteness but will be thinking of all the good times and fun Bruce brought to me and others. My condolences to all of Bruce’s family, friends and coworkers. Sincerely, Don Luft.
