Obituary of Nelda Halliday

It is with deep sadness that the Halliday family announces the passing of Nelda (Schuler) Halliday on April 26,2018 at the age of 73. Nelda fought a courageous and selfless battle against ALS. 

Nelda will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 51 years Jack Halliday.  Her beloved children Dean Halliday, Darren Halliday & husband Mike Adams, and Mary Lou Halliday. Nelda also leaves behind her Sister Mavis (Schuler) Roland, nieces Deanna Roland-Dengler, Carolyn Roland, and nephew Eric Roland Jr. Nelda was predeceased by her mother Carrie (Augusta Kline) Schuler & father Jacob Schuler.  

Nelda was very dedicated to a rewarding career in education. Starting as a teacher & retiring as a librarian. Her love for her family was only matched by her love of animals, especially her dogs. Nelda will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.  Her family extends many thank you’s for the caring and support of the staff and doctors at the Riverside Health Complex for helping through the changes and stages of ALS until the end.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Nelda at a later date.
