Obituary of Shirley Pond

Shirley Mildred Pond passed away at the Lloydminster Hospital, Lloydminster, Saskatchewan on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at the age of 78 years.

Shirley is survived by: her spouse, Ronald Chretien; her children, Crystal Tonka, Mervin (Sandi) Pond and their children, Danielle (Chris), Tanner, Derrick (Lindsay), Maryann (Mike), Gordon (Brenna) and Maggie (Jordan), Sandy (Rick) McLellan and their children, Alisha (Jason), Jennifer (Russ) and Kyle (Jen), Debbie (Alex) Born and son, Cory (Jen) and Tammy (Cal) Beres and her children, Justin (Lauren) and Devin (Shelby); 18 great grandchildren, Jacob, Kayden, Aubree, Antonette, Morgan Ewing, Kobe, Grayden, Morgan Huseby, Carson, Yasmin, Izabella, Georgia, Malcolm, Cohen, Walker, Landon, Brooklyn and Leah; her siblings, Gertrude, Robert and Herb.

Shirley was predeceased by: her first husband, Hayward; her parents, Moses and Cicily Cole; her siblings, Linda, Mary, Phyllis and Robert; her son-in-law Gordon Peach.

A time of visitation will be held on Thursday, May 31, 2018 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the McCaw Funeral Chapel, Lloydminster, Alberta.

A Memorial Service for Shirley will be held from the Turtle Lake Mission Church, near Livelong, Saskatchewan, on Friday, June 1, 2018 at 2:00 PM.

Flowers are welcome as are donations in Shirley's memory to Plan International Canada.

Directions to Turtle Lake Mission Church:
From Lloydminster take Highway #16 East to Junction #303

Turn left on Highway #303 and stay on it until Highway #21; turn left on Highway #21, cross the North Saskatchewan River, turn right at the top of the hill and head toward Turtleford.

In Turtleford, turn left at the junction and head north to Highway #3; turn right on Highway #3 and head east to the Livelong access. Turn left at the Livelong access and continue north past Livelong approximately 5 miles north.
