Obituary of Margaret Mork

MORK ~ Margaret Lillian Lily passed away peacefully in the Riverside Health Complex, Turtleford, Saskatchewan on Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at the age of 99 years with her daughters by her side. She was predeceased by husbands Edgar Stewart and Laurel Mork. Lily will be sadly missed by her children: Lynn (Irene) Stewart, Larry (Nancy) Stewart, Carol (Joe) Pilling and Wendy (Kent) Wunsch; stepsons: Len (Sharon) Mork, Bill Mork and daughter-in-law Jean Mork; 14 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren.
The funeral service was conducted from the Mervin Hope Centre, Mervin, Saskatchewan, Saturday, September 4, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Canon Donald Skinner officiating. The eulogy was prepared and given by granddaughters Carmen Tether and Kristin Pilling. A message of remembrance from the Mork grandchildren was read by granddaughter Brenda Lowrie and a poem was read by great granddaughter Preslie Smith. The soloist was Lois Kendel singing Spirit of God. A community choir was in attendance. Hymns sung were What A Friend We Have In Jesus and Precious Lord Take My Hand accompanied on keyboard, saxophone and guitar by Bev and Bill Meikle. The Processional was The Old Rugged Cross. The Recessional was Lord Of The Dance. Honorary pallbearers were grandchildren: Dean Wunsch, Pamela Smith, Carmen Tether, Jeff Pilling, Kristin Pilling and Scott Pilling. Active pallbearers were Ted Otteson, Earl Conacher, Dale Conacher, Keith Conacher, Del Nordell and Wayne Mork. Interment took place in the Mervin Cemetery. A sincere thanks to McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Turtleford, Saskatchewan who administered the funeral arrangements.
CARD OF THANKS
The family of Lily Mork would like to thank Reverend Canon Don Skinner, the choir, Bev and Bill Meikle for your wonderful music, Lois Kendel for being the soloist and all those who made the service special. Thank you to the pallbearers and special thanks to Carmen and Kristin for the eulogy. Thank you to the ladies who provided lunch and to everyone who attended the service, sent cards, flowers, food, donations and for your calls and visits. The family also wishes to thank the Home Care workers for their loving care, enabling Lily to continue to live independently at the Lodge until her passing.
