Pat and I wish to convey our heartfelt condolences to Brenda and the family on this , the sad event of Dave's passing. The news came as a bit of a shock- when we left in Nov. ,Dave was still attending coffee row with me at the Busher's club. While reports on Dave's health were not good, I fully anticipated visiting and kibitzing with him,( as we always did) when we returned, in March, but obviously, it was not to be. That damned, dreaded disease just progressed far more rapidly than I would have guessed. Again , we extend our sympathy to you all, and readily admit that Dave's company will be missed in many aspects of our social life.

Brenda and family,
Words seem inadequate to express our sadness with Dave's departure.
May the love of those around you help you through the days ahead.
Although we didn't get to see each other nearly enough, we considered Dave to be a very dear and close friend.
We first met Dave while curling in the Lloydminster Oilman's Bonspiel back in the 1980s. I can't remember exactly how the first meeting came to pass but I believe Dave was just welcoming us to the 'spiel on behalf of the Oilman's committee.
We made an instant connection and became great friends from that moment on - many late nights at the curling club and banquet/dance!!
We have sooooo many fond memories with Dave and Brenda in Lloydminster; both such wonderful people; we always looked forward to going to the Oilmans 'spiel; largely in part because of the warm welcomes and company we got to keep with the Lloyd family.
Other great memories shared with Dave came when he joined our team to play in the Oilman's 'spiels in Grande Prairie and Hardisty. Never a dull moment with Dave around and such a wonderful team player; he made the game more fun to play and was a damn good curler as well. His GIFTED QUICK WIT and ONE LINERS are still being used by us today; the laughter and commraderie will surely be missed.
It was so great to hear Dave was proclaimed Oilman of the Year recently; can't think of anyone more deserving!!
I regret not having taken more opportunities to involve Dave with our curling team more often.
Brenda, please accept our heartfelt condolences to you and your family.
Dave was a fantastic friend and we were privileged to have known him.
He will forever be remembered.
