Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
I hope that soon when you think of her, a smile comes to your face instead of tears. She will forever be alive in your hearts.

Dusty & Laurie, Gail & Bob, Lois & Darrell & families,
We are so sorry to hear of the passing of your dear mom and grandma Anne. We remember meeting Anne for the first time at a Ukrainian New Year's dance at the Stockade - immediately we clicked whether it was our Ukrainian roots or our love of gardening, we had so much to discuss! As our paths crossed over the years whether at Ashlee & Tyler's wedding, a graduation party in the garage or another Ukrainian New Year's dance, Anne would always take the time to talk and catch up. You were blessed to have this special mother/grandma in your lives all these years and she was blessed to have a loving family as yourselves. Thank you for introducing us to Anne many years ago - it was truly an honour and privilege to know her, may she rest in peace for a life well lived.

Very sorry to hear this news and deepest condolences on behalf of Rica and Eileen, Jim and myself ... as a child, growing up, I saw Auntie Anne as a very special lady -- so exemplary of that generation that worked so hard and sacrificed so much ... so strong and so much to be admired, and yet, so kind and thoughtful ... yet the thing that sticks out for me is how we talked and laughed whenever we got together in Benito ... that will be my lasting memory, those wonderful stories from the valley, her sense of humour and her laugh ... oh my god, how could I possibly forget that laugh ... just looking at her photo, makes me smile and warms my heart ... that's how I want to remember her ... rest in peace, Auntie Anne, we miss you ...

as a family we went to Benito every summer and spent time with auntie Anne and uncle Bill. Auntie Anne was a surrogate mother to my dad, she called him "Sonny Jim" (his name was Gene :) )and the two of them shared a wonderful bond. That bond was carried on with her son Dusty, and in turn, my bond with Dusty and Gail, then Krista and Jason. So blessed to have had such wonderful memories . Thoughts and prayers are with all of her wonderful family, and surviving sisters. She was so very loved, and touched many hearts. Love always xo
